Privacy notice
How we handle your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013.
Who is responsible
Trinity Power & Construction is the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice. Our registration and contact details are in the panel alongside.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what is needed to quote and carry out work. We do not ask for your identity number, date of birth, or your street address at enquiry stage — a suburb is enough to tell us whether the job is in our area and how to price travel.
- Your name and phone number — so we can call you back and arrange a site assessment.
- Your email address, if you give it — to send the written quote.
- What the job involves, the property type and size band, and the suburb — so we send the right person with the right materials.
Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. The box is never pre-ticked. We record which version of this notice you agreed to, so we can tell you later exactly what you consented to. The current version is 2026-08-05.1.
Where we have carried out work for you, we also process your information to perform that contract and to meet our own record-keeping obligations.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and reach you. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Formspree — receives what you type into the enquiry form, emails it to us, and keeps a copy so we do not lose your enquiry if an email goes astray.
- Our email provider — delivers that notification to us and our reply to you.
- Meta Platforms — only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp. Meta’s own terms apply to that conversation; we do not send them anything.
- Our website host — serves the pages. It does not receive your enquiry.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
Information leaving South Africa
The form service and our email provider are based outside South Africa, so your enquiry is processed abroad. POPIA permits this where the receiving country or a binding agreement with the provider offers comparable protection. If you would rather not have your details handled this way, call or WhatsApp us instead and we will take the enquiry that way.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry lives in two places: our email, and the form service that delivered it. We clear enquiries from the form service after 12 months. Emails and job records are kept for as long as we may need them for the work and for the tax and invoicing records the law requires us to hold.
If you ask us to delete your details and we are not required to keep them, we will.
Your rights
You are entitled to:
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. That does not undo anything we did before you withdrew it.
- Object to us processing your information.
Ask our information officer, using the details alongside. We respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If something goes wrong
If your information is compromised, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible, as POPIA requires.
Complaints
Please raise it with us first — we would rather fix it. You may also complain directly to the Information Regulator (South Africa), Alberton, Johannesburg, at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za or inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics do not use cookies and do not identify you individually. Your part-completed quote form is held in your own browser’s session storage so a refresh does not lose your answers; it is cleared when you close the tab and it is never sent to us until you submit the form.
